Gold Party ???

Have you been invited to a Gold Party? These are like Tupperware parties, but instead of selling you Tupperware, someone buys your old gold jewellery. Sounds like a good idea at first, but why would you sell your gold to some stranger who sets up in someone’s living room, implying that they are doing you a favour? How do you know you’re even getting a fair price? EMPIRE INDUSTRIES has been having a non-stop Gold Party for over 50 years! Ours is a little different though. Instead of serving food and paying a commission to a host, we just pay you more money. That’s right! For a half-century, we have been buying old gold and gold coins for fair prices from thousands of sellers. And we don’t only buy old scrap gold. We have gemologists on staff, with decades of experience, ready to examine your finer items too! We have handled some of the finest and most valuable diamonds, jewellery, watches and rare coins ever to be traded in Canada! So, if you want to sell your old gold, or a rare piece of jewellery, call me, and you’ll end up with more money! And then you can have your own party!

On Sunday, September 28th, I ran in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfont half marathon, a 13.1 mile road race along Lakeshore drive here in Toronto. I collected sponsorship donations and together we raised $1,960.00, all of which was donated to the Canadian Cancer Society Ontario Division to help in the fight against cancer.
$207,000 Raised for Sick Kids Hospital!

$207,000 RAISED IN SUPPORT OF THE
CARDIAC KIDS PROGRAM AT SICK KIDS HOSPITAL!
I was honoured to be involved this year with the
3rd Annual Transglobe Charity Golf Classic, held on Tuesday, June 24th at the
beautiful Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple, Ontario, just north of Toronto. The
event included golf, dinner and entertainment and was very well attended. The
evening included live and silent auctions and I was asked to conduct the live
auction component, consisting of select sports memorabilia, artwork and vacation
package items. In keeping with the sports theme of the evening, attending and
supporting the event were some of Canada's most legendary past and present
athletes, both in the professional and olympic spheres, including (among others)
Toronto Blue Jays World Series winner Joe Carter, gold medal champion Olympic
sprinter Donovan Bailey, and Marnie McBean, Olympic gold medal rowing
champion. It was a thrill for me to meet and be photographed with these legends,
and to help out in such an important cause. In all, $207,000 was raised that
evening, in support of the Cardiac Kids Program at Sick Kids
Hospital.
Thanks again to all who supported and attended the
event, it was a smashing success.
Best regards,
Elliot Melamed, Empire Auctions Toronto.
